STRATEGIC ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP HELD IN ANKARA

Activity 6.3 Strategic Environmental Assessment Workshop organized within the scope of the 'Technical Assistance on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins' project co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye within the scope of the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance was held in Ankara on 18 -19 November 2024.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Yakup Karaaslan, Deputy Director General of Water Management, Mr. Taner Kimençe, Head of Basin Management Department, General Directorate of Water Management, Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, General Directorate of Water Management, General Directorate of Forestry, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture, General Directorate of Crop Production,Representatives of the General Directorate for European Union and Foreign Affairs, General Directorate for Environmental Management, General Directorate for Environmental Impact Assessment, Permitting and Inspection, General Directorate of Iller Bank Inc, General Directorate of Industrial Zones, General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration, the Union of Turkish Municipalities, managers of the consortium consisting of DAI Global, NFB Engineering and Consultancy, Finnish Environmental Institute SYKE and ACC Consultancy, and the Technical Assistance Team, 77 participants on the first day and 65 participants on the second day.
