'Activity 4.3.1 - Improving public and sector representatives’ awareness on water allocation via training programs, workshops and informative meeting' and 'Activity 6.2 - Batı Karadeniz Basin Stakeholder consultations with central and basin scale institutions for Scoping Environmental Impacts Reports' of the 'Technical Assistance on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins' project co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye within the scope of the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance was held on 3 September 2024 at Trabzon Antalya Ramada Plaza Hotel.
A total of 104 people attended the meeting, including the Deputy Governor of Burdur Mr Faruk EKİZ, the Deputy Governor of Isparta Mr Adnan TEZCAN, regional and provincial directorates, representatives of the General Directorate of Water Management, representatives of stakeholder institutions and organizations in the basin, directors of the consortium consisting of DAI Global, NFB Engineering and Consulting and ACC Consulting and technical assistance team.
Mr Ozan SOYTÜRK, Section Manager for the Basin Management Department, General Directorate of Water Management delivered the opening speech. Acting Team Leader Dr. Emre KÖKEN gave information about the project and introduced the project.
The meeting continued with the presentation of Antalya Basin Responsible Ms Çiğdem ÜNAL on Antalya Basin Characterization and Hot Spots presentation.
Presentations on Sectoral Water Allocation Plans (SWAP) Overview and Antalya Basin Sectoral Water Demands were delivered by senior non-key expert Dr. Buket MESTA YOLERİ
The presentation on Socioeconomic Considerations in the Scope of SSTP was delivered by senior-key expert Ms Aynur Tokel.
Basin Responsible Ms Oytun Ceren gave presentations on 'Overview of Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)', 'Antalya Basin SEA Scoping Report' and 'Next Steps of SEA Process'.
