ACTIVITY 1.12 SECOND WORKSHOP WAS ORGANISED

Within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins supported under the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, Activity 1.12 training workshop was organised in Nevşehir between 11-13 May 2023.

The 2nd Training Workshop organised within the scope of "Preparation of Characterisation Reports" was attended by the Director General for Water Management Ms. Afire SEVER, Deputy Director Genaral for Water Management Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN, representatives of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Directorate General for European Union and Foreign Relations and Directorate General for Water Management and technical assistance team.   

The three-day workshop started with the opening speech of Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN, Deputy Director General for Water Management.  

IN THE WORKSHOP, PARTICIPANTS WERE INFORMED ABOUT THE STUDIES CONDUCTED WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE PREPARATION OF THE CHARACTERISATION REPORTS

After the presentations on the studies carried out within the scope of the Characterisation and Investigating Current Sectoral Water Use Status Reports in 6 Basins, the closing speech of the 2nd Training Workshop held within the scope of "Preparation of Characterisation Reports" was delivered by the Director General for Water Management, Ms. Afire SEVER.  

In her speech, our Director General Ms. SEVER expressed the importance of River Basin Management Plans for the sustainable management of water and stated that water should be used efficiently and maintained for the future. 

Ms. Afire SEVER emphasized the experience gained by the Directorate General for Water Management within the scope of European Union (EU) Projects over time. 

The workshop was concluded with the comments of the participants.
