ACTIVITY 4.3.1 IMPROVING PUBLIC AND SECTOR REPRESENTATIVES’ AWARENESS ON WATER ALLOCATION VIA TRAINING PROGRAMS, WORKSHOPS AND INFORMATIVE MEETINGS WAS HELD IN ANKARA

Activity 4.3.1 Improving Public and Sector Representatives’ Awareness On Water Allocation Via Training Programs, Workshops And Informative Meetings organized within the scope of the 'Technical Assistance on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins' project co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye within the scope of the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance was held in Ankara on 26-27 November 2024.

The workshop was attended by Mr. Taner Kimençe, Head of Basin Management Department, General Directorate of Water Management, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, General Directorate of Forestry, General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks,  General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture, General Directorate of Crop Production, the General Directorate of Meteorology, General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, General Directorate of Livestock, General Directorate for EU and Foreign Affairs, General Directorate for Environmental Management, General Directorate for Environmental Impact Assessment, Permitting and Inspection, General Directorate of Industry, General Directorate of Public Health, General Directorate of Investment and Enterprises, General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration, Electricity Production Corporation, General Directorate of Industrial Zones, managers of the consortium consisting of DAI Global, NFB Engineering and Consultancy, Finnish Environmental Institute SYKE and ACC Consultancy, and the Technical Assistance Team, 81 participants on the first day and 76 participants on the second day.
