6TH OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING WAS HELD.

6th Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of the Technical Assistance Project on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for Six Basins, co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye within the scope of the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, was held on 21 June 2022 at Directorate General for Water Management and through Zoom in a hybrid format. 

44 participants attended the meeting including the Deputy Director General for Water Management Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN, Head of Department Mr. Taner KİMENÇE, Ms. Nurnisa ELÇİN, representing the Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change, Directorate General for EU & Foreign Relations, Department of EU Investments, representatives of Directorate General for Water Management, directors of the Contractor and Technical Assistance Team.

The meeting started with the opening speech of the Deputy Director General for Water Management Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN. After the speech of Mr. KARAASLAN, Team Leader Mr. Jaroslav SLOBODNIK delivered his presentation on the current status and progress of the project, the workshop to be held within the scope of Activity 1.2, meetings and workshops to be carried out and reports to be submitted in the following period.

The meeting was adjourned with a question and answer session following the presentation by Mr. SLOBODNIK.
