10TH OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING WAS HELD

Within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins, under the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, 10th Operation Coordination Unit Meeting was held on 17 January 2023 at the Directorate General for Water Management and through Zoom in a hybrid format.   63 participants attended the meeting including the Deputy Director General for Water Management Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN, Head of the Basin Management Department Mr. Taner KİMENÇE, representatives of the Directorate General for Water Management, Sector Coordinator Elif Ceyda TORCU ÖZDEN from EU Delegation to Türkiye, Contract Manager Nurnisa ELÇİN from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Directorate General of EU and Foreign Relations, Department of the European Union Investments, managers of the consortium, DAI Global, NFB Engineering and Consultancy and ACC Consulting, and the technical assistance team.

The meeting started with the opening speech of Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN, and continued with the presentation delivered by the Team Leader Dr. Jaroslav SLOBODNIK.   Mr. SLOBODNIK informed the participants about the current status of the project, the progress of the project and the studies planned to be carried out in the upcoming period. The Operation Coordination Unit Meeting was adjourned after the question and answer session.
