16TH OPERATION COORDINATION UNIT MEETING WAS ORGANIZED

The 16th Operation Coordination Unit Meeting of the 'Technical Assistance on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins' project co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye within the scope of the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance was held on 21 December 2023 as a hybrid with participation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Multi-Purpose Meeting Hall and via the Zoom platform.

Director General of Water Management Ms Afire SEVER, Deputy Director General of Water Management Mr Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN, Head of the Department of Basin Management of the General Directorate of Water Management Mr Taner KİMENÇE, Coordinator of the European Union Delegation, Environment and Sustainable Development Sector Ms Elif TORCU ÖZDEN, Head of EU Investments Department of the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Dr. İsmail Raci BAYER, Contract Manager of the Department of EU Investments of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Ms Nurnisa ELÇİN, representatives of the General Directorate of Water Management, managers of the Consortium consisting of DAI Global, NFB Engineering and Consultancy, and ACC Consultancy, and the technical assistance team attended the meeting. 44 people attended the meeting.

The progress of the project between November 10 and December 21, the planned events for the next month, the distribution of tasks among the Technical Assistance Team, and the revision of project organizations such as workshops were discussed.

The Operation Coordination Unit Meeting ended after the opinions and comments of the participants were received.
