MEETING ON SECTORAL WATER ALLOCATION PLANS (SWAPS) & SOCIO-ECONOMIC ANALYSIS WAS HELD

A meeting on the data assessment of the sectoral water allocation plans and socio-economic analysis studies was held within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for Six Basins, co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye under the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, on 17 June 2022 at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. 38 participants attended the meeting including the Deputy Director General for Water Management Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN, representatives of Directorate General for Water Management and directors of the Contractor and Technical Assistance Team.

The meeting started with the opening speech of the Deputy Director General for Water Management Dr. Yakup KARAASLAN and continued with the presentations by Mert SEVİNİR, Kızılırmak Basin Responsible Person and SWAPs Coordinator, and experts on data assessment for sectoral water allocation plans and by Belgi TURAN on data for socio-economic analysis. The meeting was adjourned with a question and answer session and discussions following the presentations.
