MONITORING MEETING WAS HELD

Within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins, under the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance, a Monitoring Meeting was held on 8 March 2023 in a hybrid format with physical participation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and via Zoom platform. A total of 38 people attended the meeting including Taner KİMENÇE, Head of the Basin Management Department, Altunkaya Çavuş, Basin Planning Working Group Responsible, representatives of the Directorate General for Water Management, the managers of the contractor DAI Global and NFB Engineering and Consultancy and the technical assistance team.

The meeting started with the opening speech of Mr. Taner KİMENÇE, Head of the Basin Management Department, and continued with the information provided by Prof. Dr. Beril AKIN, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Emre YAPRAK, Prof. Dr. Naime ARSLAN, Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Nadir SOLAK and Assoc. Prof. Özgür BAYTUT. The studies on monitoring that have been completed so far, the issues that need to be clarified and the steps to be taken in the coming period were discussed at the meeting. The meeting was concluded after a question and answer session.
