ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES WORKSHOP HELD IN ANKARA

Activity 5.7 Environmental Objectives Workshop organized within the scope of the 'Technical Assistance on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins' project co-financed by the European Union and Türkiye within the scope of the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance was held on 17 -18 October 2024 at Ankara Holiday Inn Hotel.

The workshop was attended by Mr. Taner Kimençe, Head of Basin Management Department, General Directorate of Water Management; Ms. Nurnisa Elçin, Contract Manager, EU Investments Department, General Directorate for European Union and Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change; General Directorate of Water Management, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks, General Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture, General Directorate of Forestry, General Directorate of Crop Production, General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, Representatives of the General Directorate for European Union and Foreign Affairs, General Directorate for Environmental Management, General Directorate for Environmental Impact Assessment, Permitting and Inspection, General Directorate of Iller Bank Inc, General Directorate of Industrial Zones, General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration, managers of the consortium consisting of DAI Global, NFB Engineering and Consultancy, Finnish Environmental Institute SYKE and ACC Consultancy, and the Technical Assistance Team, 75 participants on the first day and 61 participants on the second day.
