FINLAND - DENMARK STUDY VISIT HAS BEEN COMPLETED

A study visit was held in Finland-Denmark between 7-11 November within the scope of the European Union Technical Assistance Project on Preparation of River Basin Management Plans for 6 Basins, supported under the IPA-2 period of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance.   

Within the framework of the Finland-Denmark Study Visit with the participation of the Contracting Authority, the End Recipient and the technical assistance team, the institutions responsible for river basin management in Finland and Denmark were visited. Knowledge and experiences have been shared on the implementation of the Water Framework Directive, preparation of the water management structure, water quality monitoring programmes and river basin management plans.  

The study visit included a visit to an automatic water quality monitoring station and an improvement site and the implementation of the Water Framework Directive, best online monitoring technologies; data quality assurance system, calculation of loads from agricultural areas were discussed.   

The study visit which started in Finland, was concluded in Denmark on 11 November 2022.
